Grindr has multiple options for premium features, ranging from auto-renewing subscriptions to single use add-ons.
Grindr Xtra or Unlimited subscriptions can be weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly depending on the available options at the time of purchase. Please note that promotions and available options may vary depending on your location.
Grindr also offers microtransactions such as Boost, Super Boost, Mega Boost, Right Now, Right Now + Boost, Unlimited Day Pass or Roam.
Unfamiliar charges and Pre-Authorizations.
I cancelled my subscription but I’m still being charged.
If you see a charge from Grindr after canceling your subscription, this can refer to a pre-authorization. This ensures that your card is valid and there are sufficient funds in your account. You never pay for pre-authorizations; however, they may be visible on your account statement for up to 15 business days. Contact your bank, Google Play/Apple if this pre-authorization appears on your statement any longer.
If you’ve since canceled your subscription, this pre-authorization will be released and you will no longer be charged moving forward. If you are still seeing a charge after the mentioned timeframe, please reach out to our support team here.
My charge shows earlier than expected
It is possible that Google/Apple will charge you a day before your billing date. So if you’re on a monthly plan and your billing date is on the 31st, you may be charged on the 30th (and on the 28th in February, for example). Keep in mind that this can be a Pre-authorization. This ensures that your card is valid and there are sufficient funds in your account.
I had a Free Trial and it ended.

I don’t understand my charge.
One of the reasons you might have been charged could be associated with the purchase of an add-on, such as Boost, Super Boost, Mega Boost, Right Now, Right Now + Boost, Unlimited Pass Day or Roam. These are non-renewing microtransactions that can be purchased in-app.

I did not authorize a Grindr charge
Grindr charges are a result from user-initiated purchases. Grindr does not charge users without a corresponding purchase. If you suspect fraud, we recommend reaching out directly to Google Play, Apple and/ or your Financial institution.
