If you aren’t seeing your XTRA or Unlimited subscription reflected on your account, you may need to restore your purchase or transfer your subscription. Those subscriptions might not be reflected correctly if you have multiple profiles, or are logged into the incorrect Apple ID/Google Play account. You can follow the relevant steps below in order to get your subscription back on track!
Restore your purchase
If you aren’t seeing a recently purchased subscription active on your account, follow these steps to restore your purchase:
- From the Grindr home screen, tap into your Profile
- Tap on the gear icon to enter your Settings
- Tap on the option labeled Restore Purchase
- Wait for the confirmation message on-screen and you'll be all set!
- If necessary, restart your device
If you don’t see “Restore Purchase” as an option, please make sure you have downloaded the latest version of Grindr, which you can find here for iOS users, and here for Android users.
If an error message appears, check to ensure that you are logged into the same Apple/Google Play account from which the purchase was made.
Transfer your subscription
If you have multiple profiles, transferring your subscription from one profile to another can be a source of confusion. Don’t worry, we can help get things back on track!
First, make sure you are logged into the same Apple ID/Google Play account where the purchase was made. If you have a second profile linked to another device on the same Apple ID/Google Play account, it’s possible that the subscription was transferred by Apple/Google automatically. To resolve this, you’ll have to wait 24 hours and then follow the steps listed above to restore your purchase.
Please note: Subscriptions are only meant for a single profile. If you have another profile or device linked to the same Apple ID/Google Play account, the subscription will be transferred automatically. Additionally, a subscription can only be transferred if the Apple ID/Google Play account is linked to that device or profile.
Purchases not appearing on your account
If you purchase an XTRA or Unlimited subscription, and don’t immediately see that subscription reflected in your account upon logging in, you’ll need to manually force quit Grindr to resolve the issue.
