If you’re a Grindr Xtra user and are considering taking your experience to the next level with Grindr Unlimited, we’re happy to guide you through how upgrades work.
When you upgrade from Xtra to Unlimited, your app store (Google Play Store for Android users, and Apple for iOS users) will prorate the remaining Xtra credits towards your upgrade. This means that, depending on how much is left of your original subscription, you will not be charged right away, because the remainder of your previous subscription will be used to process the upgrade. The previous subscription, then, expires.
You'll be charged only when those credits expire. You'll know when the remaining credits expire by the renewal date shown at the moment of the upgrade. The renewal date is when you’ll actually receive the first charge for the upgrade.
If after upgrading you feel like Unlimited isn’t for you, we recommend that you cancel the subscription auto-renewal. The features will remain active until the end of the cycle, but you won't be charged again.
Please note that once you upgrade, a new billing cycle starts and it won't be possible to resume your previous subscription, as it expires at the moment of the upgrade. If you wish to go back to Xtra, you will need to make a new purchase through the app once your Unlimited expires.
As per our Terms of Service, all Grindr purchases, including subscriptions and microtransactions, are final and the charges are non-refundable. Feel free to check out our refund policy for further details.
