Taps

Taps are ice-breakers that you can send to anyone you’re interested in, without the stress of having to find the "right” words. Taps come in 3 distinct options:

• Looking (the purple devil emoji)
  
• Hot (the flame icon)
  
• Friendly (a chat bubble icon)

Tapping a profile

Sending a Tap is the simplest thing ever! Here's how you do it:

1. Select the profile of the person you’d like to Tap.
   
2. In the bottom-right corner, you’ll see the flame icon (🔥) - select it.
   
3. Long press the 🔥  icon to see the 3 options -- clicking it once will immediately send the Hot tap 🔥.

Deleting Taps

You can also delete Taps you've received from other users in your inbox. 

1. Open Grindr.
   
2. Go to your Chats.
   
3. Select Taps at the top right corner.
   
   • If you are on an iOS device:
     • Click on the Tap you would like to delete and slide left.
   • If you are on an Android device:
     
     • Long press on the Tap that you want to delete and select the 🗑 icon.
       
4. Hit Delete and voilá, it's gone!
