Grindr is a geolocation-based social networking application for the LGBTQ+ community. You can chat with folks via Grindr’s messaging platform, and even send photos, video and voice messages.
When you open the app, you’ll see the Grid - essentially the Grindr home page - of other Grindr users. By default - the Grid displays the folks closest to you (and those using our Boost feature). Grindr collects your location info within a 100m radius of accuracy. You can toggle our Show Distance option on or off. When Show Distance is on, your relative distance is used to arrange the Grid based on distance and display an approximate relative distance between you and other members. When Show Distance is off, your relative distance is only used to arrange the Grid based on distance.
You can apply Grid controls to cater your search to exactly what you’re looking for. You can use your Grid controls to filter for any combination of Tags, Filters, Fresh, and Explore. With Explore, you search and connect with people all around the world!
Once someone catches your attention, you can select their profile in the Grid to view their profile and photos, as well as send a message, or Tap.
Everyone has the ability to use Grindr; however, our XTRA and Unlimited subscribers have access to additional features and functionalities.
