If you were sent to this article directly from the app, your Grindr account has been reported by another user for suspected impersonation. We always take these reports seriously, as issues with fake accounts are a major complaint from our users.
Accordingly, we've suspended your account until you can verify your ownership. Once you do so, we’ll restore your access to your Grindr account.
In order to verify your identity, please fill out this form, and follow the appropriate instructions below based on your account:
- If you created your account via email, please include a selfie of you holding a piece of paper with the email address associated with your Grindr account written on it.
- If you created your account via a third party (ie, via Apple, Google, or Facebook account) please include a selfie of you holding a piece of paper with your device ID written on it.
- You can find this listed on the screen you see when you open the app.
- If you have an account with no profile photos, also include an image of an official government ID with your name and photo clearly visible, in addition to the appropriate selfie option above.
