If you're having issues with the Grindr app, accept our apologies. Keep reading for more details on how to troubleshoot this. However, if you’re still having issues, click here to report an issue via email.
If you're not using the most current version of Grindr, the app may crash or freeze during use. You can make sure you're using the most current version of Grindr by going to the App Store on your device.
So your Grindr is up to date but it's still crashing? Force closing Grindr may resolve this issue. This will reset your connection to our servers and remove any temporary data that could be causing trouble.
To force close Grindr...
1. From the Home Screen, double-click the Home button to view the multitasking screen
2. Locate the Grindr Window
3. Swipe your finger from the bottom to the top of the screen over the Grindr Window
4. Restart your device
5. Open Grindr
If force closing didn't help, you can try re-installing Grindr. A new copy of Grindr from the App Store will correct any damaged or corrupt files that may be causing trouble.
To re-install Grindr, follow the steps below:
1. From the Home Screen, tap and hold Grindr
2. When it starts to wobble, tap the black (x) icon
3. Tap Delete to confirm
4. Restart your device
5. Download and install Grindr from the App Store on your device
If these steps don't work, you may have uncovered a bug in the app. Send us your crash logs with an explanation of your issue via support request here and we'll have our tech team weigh in.
