The Grindr iOS Beta is an invitation-only testing program for those who have iOS devices. Grindr invites certain members to help test new features and/or functionalities before we launch that version of the app to the public. Beta members send Grindr feedback, bug reports, and/or suggestions during their testing. This helps us enhance the overall Grindr user experience.

Joining the program
Here's what you need to know when joining our Beta Testing Group:
- Grindr's iOS beta program is by invitation only.
- We select Beta members based on factors of countries, languages, devices, iOS version, and so on.
- You will receive an in-app invitation if you are selected.
Differences from the standard app
The Beta version app may contain additional new features in comparison to the production version available on the App Store. This is a great opportunity to access and try new Grindr features before they become available for everyone else.
Bug reports & suggestions
If you'd like to share feature feedback or suggestions, you can do so via the Testflight app.
If your device operates on iOS 13, you can report bugs directly on the Beta version app by sending us screenshots of any issues you may be having.
Uninstalling the Beta program
You can uninstall the Grindr Beta app like any other app on your iOS device (long-press, and select the subsequent X icon that appears). As a Beta invitee, you are always free to re-install a Beta version from the TestFlight app again.
To return to the standard version of Grindr, you must uninstall the Beta version app before reinstalling the standard version from the App Store to avoid previous data synchronization issues.
Don't forget to backup your chats before switching from Beta to production versions, or vice versa!
If you're currently using the Beta version of the app, you won't be able to purchase a subscription to Grindr Xtra or Unlimited. If you were previously using a premium subscription, to restore that subscription you'll need to re-install the standard version of Grindr from the App Store.
